Billing

The cost of a test(s) can vary depending on the type of test ordered and your insurance coverage. If you're unsure about your coverage, our team can verify your benefits and let you know how much, if any, of the cost will be covered by your insurance. If you don’t have insurance, we offer discounted rates or financial assistance programs to help make testing more affordable. Our billing team is available to answer any questions about your charges or payment options.

If a claim has been filed for your lab services but the insurance company communicates to us that your policy does not cover all or part of your testing, or they have no record of a valid policy in effect for the date of your testing, then yes, you will receive a bill from Gravity Diagnostics.

We will send you a billing statement for the balances on the services provided. Our physical statement offers several payment options.

We offer interest-free installment plans of up to 12 months, and our Billing Support Specialists are here to help you set up a plan that works for you.

 

a. Some insurance companies pay your claim by sending a check directly to you, as the insured patient. This check is their actual payment meant for Gravity Diagnostics for the testing we performed. To avoid any further unintentional financial obligation, please immediately do the following upon receipt of the check: We are here to help. Gravity Diagnostics will work with you, your provider, and your insurance company to attempt to obtain the necessary information needed to dispute a denied claim with your insurance plan. If a claim has been filed for your lab services but the insurance company communicates to us that your policy does not cover all or part of your testing, or they have no record of a valid policy in effect for the date of your testing, then yes, you will receive a bill from Gravity Diagnostics.

  1. Endorse the check by signing it on the back
  2. Write “Pay to: Gravity Diagnostics” under your signature
  3. Mail this check to: Gravity Diagnostics, PO Box 746838, Atlanta, GA 30374

a. An EOB is a summary of services being billed to your insurance company by a healthcare provider and an explanation of how your insurance company processed this claim based on your coverage with them.

b. The EOB is not an invoice or a bill. It is simply an explanation of charges for testing you received from Gravity Diagnostics.

c. EOBs can sometimes cause anxiety with patients as they show all charges billed, not just the patient’s responsibility.

d. Do not make any payment to Gravity Diagnostics based on this EOB. Please wait to receive an invoice directly from Gravity Diagnostics for any patient payment responsibility

Gravity Diagnostics is a CLIA Certified laboratory, if you received a statement from our lab, your provider has recently used our laboratory for diagnostics testing services.

Testing Services & Results

Result turnaround times vary by testing type. Please reach out to your ordering provider for your lab results. 
 

If you cannot obtain a copy of your results from your Ordering Provider, contact our Customer Support team. You must submit a Patient Record Request Form, along with a photo ID to info@gravitydiagnostics.com

If you have any questions regarding your results, you must speak to the medical team at the Ordering Location. We cannot provide result interpretation or medical advice to patients.

Please contact your ordering provider first to confirm if updates to your order are needed. Gravity Diagnostics cannot make any amendments to lab reports or patient data unless we hear from the Ordering Provider’s office.

We are unable to take patients at our lab, your Provider must submit an order and specimen to the lab for testing.

We no longer operate the Covid drive thru testing sites.

We do not currently provide parental DNA tests.

We currently only offer urine or saliva toxicology tests.

We are unable to see patients directly at our laboratory, your Provider must submit an order and specimen to our lab.

Gravity Diagnostics complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which ensures the protection of your personal health information (PHI). All staff are trained to handle your data in accordance with these regulations. All electronic health information is encrypted during transmission and storage, ensuring that your data is secure from unauthorized access. We only share your health information with third parties, such as your healthcare provider or insurance company, when it is necessary and permitted by law.
